jayde has recently got really blotchy and like spots on her face was going to ask the healthvisitor what they are as was just wondering what they can be and if its anything to worry about thanks

if it's just round her mouth it could be just with her dribbling her milk etc... Arianna had a really bad rash when she was little because she used to let milk out of her mouth while drinking

Or is it milk spots?

Ask your HV if you are worried - thats what they are there for.

Libby has had a few spots, I asked the MW about them she said it is something to do with the hormones from us mummies clearing out of her body.....the same reason she may leak milk from her nipples etc.

Def ask the HV if you're worried.....just give them a call or pop down to the clinic when they're next open babe

Don't worry, I think it's very normal for babies to get spots/rash on their face & the rest of their bodies! When Jamie got all spotty I was told its his skin changing & being oily & its to do with his hormones.

Euan had spots at around the same time. They were basically caused by hormones passed from me to him during the last few weeks of pregnancy the doctor said. He had them for around 2 to 3 weeks and then they started to subside. Now he has very few of them. I was advised by my doctor to stay away from lotions etc as they can make them angrier so I just washed him with water until they had gone.
