Specialist appointment today! Nervous

So sorry you are going through this Hun. Just want to say that my girl had severe hydrocephalus too I was told she would be brain damaged...,so far she shows no signs of that. She had a shunt placed day after birth and is doing well. Just be aware that they alwYs give you worst case scenario. Make sure you get the best medical advice. Lots of love xxx

Hey, I have found that it is all worst case scenario and I understand why they need to give worst case! Once we know more after my tests and stuff then I'll be able to start properly researching and deciding what to do!
Your girl sounds amazing! And she's very lucky to have a mummy like you!
Thank you so much for the reply you have sent! It really means a lot! Xx

You're welcome Hun. I know what it feels like to get to that 20 week scan and suddenly have the rug pulled from under your feet and your whole world come crashing down. Pm me anytime along your journey if you want to. I found it so helpful to speak to people who had walked in my shoes xx

Thank you again, I will definitely be taking you up on that offer, I have a phone call with the director of the shine charity today who specialise in helping people with hydrocephalus, my wonderful mum has arranged the call as her friend is on the board of the charity so it will be good to start talking to others and find out my options,
I feel numb and very emotional, I'm leaving France tomorrow which will be so hard! But I know it's best for me and my girl xx

So sorry you are going through this, thoughts are with you. Keeping my fingers crossed that you receive some positive news after your tests xx

That's good. Shine are amazing and have offered us lots of support. I will pm you with my Facebook name and you can add me if you want to see a pic of her. That's assuming you have Facebook x

A neighbours child had hydrocephalus when I was growing up. He had some brain damage but managed to go to normal school with some extra support. He was a sweet kid.

Natnat, I'm so so sorry to read this. What a tough time for you and your family. I dont really have any words because I can't imagine what you are going through, but thoughts are with you and I hope you get some answers soon.
Good luck and hugs x
