I had SPD with my last child so have been waiting for it to come again with this pregnancy and in the last few weeks i think its started again, some days worse than other...today being a bad day. We had to move house about 3mnths ago so have been waiting for two paces to come available at the nearest school but so far nothing, i cant see how we aree ever going to have two places in two different year groups at the same time available for them to transfer and i cant let just one transfer untill another place comes up because i cant be in two places at once to drop them both off at the same time lol!!!
Anyway my problem is the kids school is a good 25 min walk away and im starting to find it really difficult to walk some days. Its a nice walk actually but a bit up and down with hills etc and by the time i get back from the 50min round walk my hips and back and often my belly is hurting. I can struggle on at the moment but im really worried because im only 6mnths gone so im guessing this is only going to get worse so i dont know what im going to do if it does. I obviously dont drive and thank god my husband is usually home to do either the morning or the afternoon run in the car so i only have to do it once a day (but he may be losinng his job soon and the job hes applied for incase he does i would have to go up to the school twice a day EEEKK!!) so does anyone know if theres any help i can get either through the school or the social? Theres no bus routes from here to there either and i dont have any friends at the school i can ask to do it for me and my family dont live where i do so i feel really stuck.

Hey Honey

When my sister was miles away from the school the social managed to sort out taxi's to get them to school everyday.

It might be worth giving DWP a call and see if it's them that offer this, i will check with my sister where she arranged it.

Also it may be worth talking to the school and seeing if they have a group walking scheme this is where a few adults escort kids to and from school :)

Thanks, i dont think anyone else comes from round by me because we moved too far away from the school now for a walking group to take them. I will phone DWP and see if they know anything. Thanks again. x

I don't do a school run but I was diagnosed with SPD a few weeks ago so just wanted to say i totally understand the pain!
Hope you can get some sort of help with the school runs soon :)

Sorry not been on for a while so only just seen this, thanks!! x
