SPD @ 13/14 weeks?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if there was anyone out there that is suffering with SPD already? I went to the doctor today and that was what he thought was the cause of my stomach pains/aches/cramps that I've been suffering from. Only problem is he wrote the full name on a piece of paper and told me to have a look online.... I have scared myself a bit by how bad it can get, so I'm looking for some advice from people who have been there. (I am 13+4, and have spoken to my midwife who has referred me to a physio on monday).

I have trouble with this, but cant say I got alot of pain in my stomach, a couple of times but its mainly in my hips, back and legs. Dont read whats on the internet! What goes for one person doesn't for another!

The best advice I have is:
-Dont stand or sit for long periods of time.
-If you have alot of jobs to do, i.e housework, do 30 mins and have a break then carry on with them after
-Sleep with a pillow or two between your knees or under your hips
-Alternate which side you sleep on
-Dont sit or sleep with legs crossed as it puts pressure on your hips
-Sit with knees about a tennis ball width apart
-Wear comfy shoes like trainers
-Hot baths and paracetamol

^^wss I suffered in all 3 of my pregnancies. Glad u have been referred to physio and if they give u a support belt wear it !!!! It's not the most comfortable thing to wear but they really do help . Xxx

I wish mine was worse then :( It started off as only my hips, but now I get it in my pubic bone, hips, across the back of my pelvis, my coccyx and my inner thighs/top of legs. Thankfully I don't think most people get it as bad as this xx

Im sorry you're suffering so much :(
I still get it quite abit, but the worst pain Ive had so far was around that time, but I think stress and lifestyle attributed alot to it then (I was having to sleep on sofas and floors, so not good!) Im hoping it doesnt get much worse, I honestly dont know how you cope! I have bad days but I know its no where near as bad as yours xxx
 
Thank-you so much for your replies. I've been feeling really down about it and it is really affecting my enthusiasm for the pregnancy. I hope the physio can help, I'm not 100% convinced that the stomach pains are related to the SPD myself, but I guess you have to trust the doctors.....
