sorry- update MORE QUESTIONS help please!

ok iv been testing since cd11 and the first six tests were hugee bfn's, as in they only had one line, not even a faint test line. yesterday's and thursday's had 2 lines, but clearly fainter than the control line, which i understand on ov tests is still a bfn (unlike preg tests)??? i thought maybe today's would be the bfp but again there isnt even a test line

might that hav been it for me, were those as dark as i can get them? my wee is rather dilute even when i fast liquids for 2 hours like it says to. any given 12pm i hav usually already had over a litre of drinks.

so idk whether to go back and record those 2 faint ones as bfp's after all what would y'all do????

does anyone else only ever get faint lines?

Yeah that will most likely have been it. I am the same, absolutely nothing and then one day a faint line then next day a line about 3/4 of strength of control (so technically negative still) and then next day no line again! I def ov though as I had my progesterone checked last month and it showed ov had happened. I think a lot of people never get a true positive on the cheap tests.

Sounds like it. Maybe you just have a really quick surge and tested slightly before or after it and missed the full strength.

oops ok then- my next question is would i have ovulated on the day of the first bfp? coz i had sex on that day!

or is there a delay or something? why did i get bfp's for 2 days and now back to bfn's? does ovulation take 2 days or did i ovulate twice? also my temp hasnt gone up yet. does temp go up at the time of ovulation or after? and how many days?

I dont know about temps as I dont chart. I know you get a thermal shift at some point but dont know when, I think that that is when you release the egg maybe? I think that yes theres a fair chance that sex on that day could result in pregnancy if the sperm can live a couple of days inside. I ov the same day or next day after my stronger line as I feel crampy and stuff, then AF is 14 days later.

Hi Trixiepaws,

When I was ttc before I never got 'proper' positives on the sticks but like you it got fairly dark then went again. I think it prob was a positive and you sjould change it. Sometimes you peak during the night so catch the level on the way up one day and the way back down the next.

A positive means you are likely to O 12-48h later normally. You should probably get a temp shift soon I would have thought.
