Hi All,

So I've had a sore throat now for about 2 weeks, I gargled salt water last week and it did seem to clear up, but over the weekend it's come back again.

It's not really painful, just sore.

I went to have my whopping cough last monday and because I had a sore throat she took my temp and it was 37.6 so she wouldnt give me the jab, I'm due to go back tonight for it but my sore throat is also back!! I think I may just say it's gone.

Do you think it's worth seeing a doctor about my throat?

I gargled salt water last night and this morning, it does seem to relieve the sorness for a little bit then it comes back.

:wall2::x

If it’s been bothering you for this long then it’s probably best to see a doctor even if it’s just to reassure you it’s nothing to worry about x

It's entirely up to yourself but I don't think I would tell the midwife the sore throat has gone if it's sore or uncomfortable at the time of the appointment. Your body could be fighting something and the whooping cough injection left my arms stiff, sore and uncomfortable for a few days. The side effects of the vaccination can be fever, headaches, swollen glands etc.

If your body is trying to fight off an infection or whatever it is that is causing your intermittent sore throat, then adding in if you get any side effects from the whooping cough injection may make you feel awful. :( I guess I just wouldn't like to see your body struggle and end up full blown ill or throat infection or something xx
