Hi Guys

I have had a constant sore head for over a week now, when I was at the midwife on Friday I asked her about it, and she said its the amount of blood my body is pumping now, and its really common !

But I just cant shift it, have tried parecetomal, and that 4 head stuff, but noting working, anyone else had this? and any ideas what else I could do??

Thanx

Hey thanx but im really allegic to co-codomol.

not been too bad today, got another midwife appointment today so will ask them again if there is anything else I can take.

Thanx ladies for all your advice xxx

I had really bad headaches too for a couple of weeks and my doctor recommended putting some Tiger Balm across my forehead and then going to lie down for a bit.

It really worked - sorted the pain out straight away! :cheer:

Might seem daft but are you drinking enough water? I had some pounding headaches and drinking water really helped. I got a row from my GP for being dehydrated at my 36 week appointment!

I suffered with terrible headaches right up to about 13 weeks. My midwife said it was two things, hormones & dehydration. She told me to drink 3 litres of water a day. Haven't quite managed that much but I drink a lot more than I used to and my headaches have disappeared.

About 2-2.5 litres of water a day was enought to shift mine.

argh i feel your pain!! i get awful headaches, especially if i've been sick.

i've found i try the following (in this order) and keep going down the list till it stops

drink lots of water
eat something savoury
drink more
short walk out side, get some fresh air
keep drinking
sleep (last resort)
then try paracetamol
sleep some more
