Hi All,

I just bought a Fisher price baby swing for Aryan thinking he will stay engaged and I will be able to do some work..But whenever I put him down there he starts crying in 2 mins..I think he gets scared..:( I was wondering is it because he is so small - 5 weeks..What have you been your experiences with baby swings..

I was thinking if he is so scared then I should take return it..plz advice..

Persevere, he will like it Hun. Keep it on low and he should be fine. Drake has been using his since day one and he was the same at first but now he goes in there, I pop it on a certain speed and as long as he's tired he'll nod off within 5.

Oh yeah, definately keep with it. Ross didn't tolerate his bouncy chair for ages and just this week he's started falling asleep in it. It'll all be very new for him, give him lots of reassurance and try and distract him a little while he's in it too.

i have same swing... similar prob... i put cosy fleece blanket underneath to make her comfy and then didnt turn it on for ages a swung the toys away! :D hes only prob starting to realllly focus so myt b a lil frightening for the lil cutie xx

Yeah I've taken the toys off for a bit. Totally with the distraction technique, also try little bits at a time. Gradually he'll like it for longer as time goes on. Oh and I always cuddle him in with a blanket too so he's all snug in there.
