ok im havin v strong period pains, feels like when labour started with millie, if he is born soon will he be ok? i know they're classed as full term from 37 weeks, will a few days make a big difference? hope its not just wishful thinkin but the pains are too strong! any advice greatly appreciated

He should be fine my daughter was born at 36 weeks and was allowed back on the ward with me her only problem was jaundice,

Sorry forgot you will need to contact the hospital if you think it is and they will probobly tell you to come in

I really would contact the hospital as 36 weeks is still classed as preterm, but you are very nearly term so hopefully the chances of any significant problems associated with prematurity are dramatically reduced. Good luck

37 weeks is classed as full term, you are only a few days off so I wouldn't worry too much. Im sure baby will be fine.

Have you rang the hospital yet.

the pains stopped, but so did baby so went to get checked and was monitered for 30 mins and everything ok
