None pregnancy related but my dad just rang to say they've had to have the dog put to sleep this afternoon.

She was old at 15 and ha started going downhill on Friday. Just seems more sad as I'd spent the last 4 weeks looking after her while my mum and dad were away

I'd forgotten how upsetting it is to lose a doggy as its 5 years since we lost the last one.

Here's hoping pip arrives this week to give them their first grandchild to take theirs (and my) mind off it

I'm so sorry to hear that. Pets are the most wonderful companions but it's just so heartbreaking when that day comes.

That's such a beautiful picture. I was brought up with a springer spaniel, she was born the same week as I was.

So sorry to hear this hun. My mum and dad had to have their dog put to sleep on Sunday, he was 17, I was devastated. Like you say at least they didn't suffer xxx

So sorry to read this - its hard losing a much loved family member. We have a spaniel and I know how loving they are and I will be devastated when we have to say goodbye to him (he's only 2 and half so hopefully we have plenty of time with him yet!)

Ellie looks beautiful - as you say, at least she's not suffering now.

So sorry for your loss, it's a heartbreaking thin to have to experience, but having them put to sleep is the final act of love. I had to have my girl put to sleep last June and it still hurts now. She's my little furry angel though, we conceived the week after she passed after months of trying and miscarriage, sure she had a word with the big guy lol. Hugs to you xx

Sorry to hear this hun, its so sad when you have to put your pet down as they spend so much time with you, we had to put our dog down last year, its so hard to let go and they deteriorate so quickly xxxx You just have to remember what a good life they had and the fun they had xxxx
