So much relieved to have a call from my mom telling me, that I have letter from the hospital saying everything is ok for screening for down syndrome cane as 'low risk' I was terrified phew!!!!

is that what happens i dont think i got one 5 years ago with my son i thought ur MW just told u at next appointment.

I think it all depends on your health provider hun. I didnt get a letter either, i just got told at my 20 week scan that my bloods had come back as being low risk xxx

Me an mike decieded against testing as we are both only early 20's and and have no relatives who have had downs within their families.......as far as we are concerned we wouldn't get rid of 'alfie' if he did have it.

ahh my friends havin her section on the 31st and her is baby alfie to. such a popular name.

I might get mine at 20 week scan to then i thought it was at net midwife appt everywhere does things so different.

If you were high risk they'd definitely ring you Lou - so really no news is good news

Ellie - having the test isn't just about deciding whether or not to abort. It's also about giving you time to come to terms with the massive life changing event of having a seriously disabled child and being able to prepare for that emotionally and practically in advance instead of having to face that shock at the birth. xx
