Snow

Its been very blizzardy all day today & got a good cpl of inch's lying. At first it was cute now its just annoying.

At least my new wellies came today, first time i've ever owned a pair.

:oooo:

We really don't get very much here Mrs KM but unfortunately that means we really don't cope very well with it. In the south of the country where I am we can go for many years with no settling snow at all but the last 3 winters we have had much more than usual and it brings everything to a standstill. Roads, railways and airports seem close and no one can get anywhere. We don't put winter tyres or snow chains on cars, we seem to run out of salt for the roads and we dont have snow ploughs. I think you Canadians would find it all a bit ridiculous.

Mustard, we probably would find it ridiculous, but we wouldn't be able to manage without the plows and salt and winter tires either :) We typically end up with 3 or 4 feet of snow on the ground in mid winter, but a couple of years ago we had about 7 feet in some places! I am really hoping that doesn't happen this year haha! I dn't mind the snow as much as the ice though... So scared of falling while preggo!

mustard XXX I just read your name and thought about eating hot dogs with mustard and onions LOL!!!

If I get snow in London I don't have to take my son to school and OH cant go to work because he owns a car wash hehehe nap day for mummy :D

Weve got snow, had more last night which hasnt melted today and due more tonight and the rest of the week. The farm yard was still frozen solid this afternoon, but the horses had a whale of a time playing in it in the field and it was lovely to watch them.

I'm down in south Wales, nothing at all :-(
Please all be careful out there those going out to work ill be worried!

We have snow - than rain - than snow again  Makes the roads horrible! The funny thing is that EVERY year it comes as a BIG SURPRISE on everyone! And the local government who's suppose to deal with it:wall2:

Anyway, if you walk carefully, you'll be alright ladies!

xx

The weather defeated me today. I got up & got LO dressed for school. OH watched baby & off we set, I literally couldn't move from my front door, massive sheets of ice, had no choice but to go back inside, couldn't even have jumped in a taxi as I still wouldn't have been able to get over the pavement  so had to phone LO's school & say she couldn't go in (they were fine about it)

Its been raining tonight & looks like its clearing the ice a bit, so fingers crossed for tomorrow. LO has choir practise & i'll never hear the end of it if she misses it.
