SMP and Child Tax Credits

Does anyone know if your statutory maternity pay is taken into account as part of your annual income?

I seem to remember them taking it off my income when I had Brody, but I just wanted to check.

Does anyone know a link which has this info? I can't find one.

I never mentioned it to them. When I estimated my income and gave it to them I took the drop into account and when my p60 came in the figure was adjusted accordingly. It amounted in more money for me

I phoned to tell them once Joe was born and it was never mentioned then.

hi.. when i spoke to them they said they take £3900 of ur annual income when u are on smp... hope this helps... If u are unsure just ring them and they will advise u ..
