Hey

It's OHs birthday at the beginning of November and I've booked a meal at a swanky restaurant followed by drinks (for him!) at a rooftop bar overlooking London.

The only problem is I don't have any evening clothes that fit me now let alone in 3 and a bit weeks time. Have any of you seen any nice maternity dresses suitable for going out? I'm only 5ft 1 so its tricky at the best of times

x

M&S might be good but to be honest you probably can't go wrong with an empire line dress. Anything high waisted under the bazzoomas will probably be fine xxxxxxxxxx

I had the next winter book delivered yesturday and there is some nice dresses in the maternity range

I'm having this problem too as I need a dress for my graduation in a few weeks!! Let me know if you find anything good :) x

Asos. They also have a few items on sale!xx

Asos had a few nice maternity dresses last time I was on :) or like the girls have said M&S and Next do have nice stuff, All the christmas party dresses will be starting to come in now so hopefully you will get something nice :)

I got one from new look last christmas for my christmas meal with MIL. it was a stretchy one that had no straps and just went around the booby area and a strap that you tied around the back. only problem it was long.

new look maternity for reasonably priced range or tiffany rose online for gorgeous but expensive maternity dresses :)

Thanks girls.... I'll have an explore and let you know what I find :)

Keep us posted Dee. My DH has just started a new job and their xmas night out is at a VERY posh hotel, im dreading having to find something to wear for it.

I have had a result with ASOS! Ususally I've dont have much luck with them but this time they have come up trumps. It seems that fitted works best as you get to show off your bump and still look classy. I went for an over the knee, fitted black dress with lots of stretch! It didn't look that nice on the site but actually looks really nice on.

The others I ordered were less fitted and I looked like I was wearing a tent!

John Lewis had a few nice ones too, although I didn't order those in the end.

xx

Oooh sounds nice :) i have a wedding to go to in 4 weeks so will have a look on ASOS closer to the time for something.

OK - here goes, but be warned it looks much better on a 'normal size' girl i.e. not a model. I think the top looks too low in the pic and it looks too short with the bump. I'm only 5ft 1 (just!) so it is much longer on me and I've made sure the top covers my boobs. If you move the strap it nicely covers your shoulders too. I took a bit of a risk ordering this one as I wasn't keen on the pic (but desperate!) and it worked out ok.

I got this one as I thought I could get away with wearing it at work too. This is a really pretty colour

Also ordered this one but sent it back.....

it was way too long on me and the style made it look like I was wearing a tent! My OH called me 'Joseph' (as in the technicoloured dreamcoat!) and burst out laughing as soon as he saw me in this one.

I have the first one! :) its so nice and comfy and fits really well! Teamed it up with some black maternity tights. Just need shoes now lol!xx
