SMA Staydown and teats

We're using the SMA staydown and it is helping but because it's thicker it doesn't flow through some teats. We have tommee tippee bottles and so got the variflow teats which the milk goes through fine. But Ross can't seem to control the flow at all, ending up wearing most of it down his front! I tried him this morning with a cheap bottle with what looked like a fast flow teat and he managed to get it out although looked like hard work. I'll try widening the holes in the size one teats again to see if that helps too, really don't fancy going and buying size 3 fast flows if they aren't going to work! Any ideas? He's on solids too so his bottles are starting to reduce although we'll still be using some for a while yet.

My only suggestion would be to try the size 3 teats, or consider moving on to a different type of bottle for the remainder, but that could prove costly if his milk feeds are starting to lessen.

Did you try and widen the holes yourself?
