Anyone tried any or have views/recommendations on them?

I am getting desparate now-only 7 weeks til I go back to work and the baby weight is still there, Rebecca is now 11 weeks old and it aint shifting.

Sticking to toast for breckie, a snack for lunch, then healthy dinner, and exercise, but no joy!!

SOS!!xxxx

Apparently it can take up to a year to lose the weight. Why don't you do something like Weight Watchers? Slimming tablets aren't really a long term solution and I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, even if I wasn't breastfeeding, I don't think they're healthy. I put on 3 stone 10lb when pregnant and have got 9lb left to lose (Ella is 17 weeks tomorrow) and have been doing WW (get to have 31 points a day as I am b/f, yay!).

Hi KX
It really depends on your current weight. Brlieve it or not, but you have to eat in order to loose weight. If you dont eat enough, your body might think your being starved and therefor, it holds onto the bodyfat for needier times.
Whats your height and weight - I can only give you some idea what may help. Slimming tablets are a waste of money personally - short term solution i recon.
Where in Edinburgh are you? I use to live in Stockbridge before moving to the Borders. I love Edinburgh!!! :D

I've used them and I know some people don't like them at all. To be honest I used them a few years back, Zantrex 3 and went down from a 14 to a 10 in 6 weeks, yeah that maybe unhealthy but the weight stayed off. When I stopped breastfeeding I took them for about a week but came off them but am between and 8 & 10 now but not really any help from them. If I feel I might put on a few pounds then I use slim fast, always worked for me too.

I think if you are desperate there's no harm in trying as long as you can eat healthily after and exercise. They are good for a lose weight quick remedy but I wouldn;t want to use them long term. Don't take any with Ma Huang in though as that's like Ephadrine which is banned in America for causing strokes and heart attacks and also there are ones which are packed with caffiene. Just read the ingredients and if you do start to feel funny come off them ASAP as they can make you paranoid and anxious. There are one with no side affects though.

i swear by them, i used trimmers from kaloss i used them for 6weeks cost about £40 i went from a 14 to a 10 they are not unsafe as every one thinks they cut your appetite take away the choccy cravings and boost motabilism, thn after the 6weeks i came of them my stomach was no longer used to big meals so i never got a huge appetite back. an i never piled the weight straight back on, i just got preggers a few months later lol
