Caitlin's night time sleep has gone to pot this last weeks, she used to go to bed around 9ish sleep for about 5/6 hours wake for a feed then sleep another 4 hours, now she goes to bed same time but is waking at 1 for a feed going back to sleep 45 mins later, an hour later she is wideawake awake agin, she will take a nother feed but is more comfort sucking (she is breast fed) falls asleep after 20 mins, but is then awake again an hour later, this continues til about 6.3ish then she will sleep til about 8am then is up for the day. When she awoke last night at 5,15 I decided to ignore her lol, but her shrieks and squeals just got louder and louder lol, she isnt upset just very happy and wideawake lol, any advice on how to get her sleeping properly again.
She is 19 weeks 3 days old

How long has it been like this? They have "wonder weeks"

(my baby is in the blue highlighted section)

Anyway during wonder weeks they sleep less, and generally worse. Are you weaning her yet? It could be that she's ready for food?

Isla is breastfed still and I started to wean her around 17 weeks as her sleep was awful. She started to sleep through at 6 months once on lumpy 7+ food, but we still had to let her CIO as she was so used to waking up several times a night.

Sorry for babbling! X

Its been about a week. Dont think she is ready for weaning yet doesnt seem interested in food and would rather wait til six months. Il have a read about the wonder weeks tbanks.

What Emma said basically, wonder weeks! They are a nightmare, but at least you know what's going on and know that there is a reason for it and an end is always in sight!

It's just daunting taking on board all the new things they're learning and throws them out of whack basically, and they just want to be close to mum!

My LO is about to hit a big one, not looking fwd to it as he's showing the fussy signs now, and it's a long leap too!!

Charley's been in one for the past 2 weeks and it's not been nice :( he started fighting bedtimes and he wakes 2-3 times through the night with a random moan but normally drifts off again on his own.

like the other girls have said. lucy was terrible at this age and id often be up at 0400 and this was get up time!! itll soon go back to normal xxx
