i get under the quilt, then lay leah on top of the quilt in her sleeping bag next to me

i leave her like that when we go to bed, then if she wakes about 2am and she's not due for a feed, then i will pull her close to me and cuddle her til she falls asleep and we both go bck to sleep til 5ish

she seems to sleep 100x better when i cuddle her in bed but iim worried its risky :? :? :?

I used to have D in his shawl (grobag when a bit bigger) at first on my quilt but I've always cuddled into him. When he was tiny I had to sleep nose to nose with him - if I tried to move he would wake up, it was so cute and made me feel needed! I didn't know you weren't supposed to cuddle them. Now if he comes in with me (not very often now :( ) he just comes under the covers with me and we cuddle each other x

I generally put Ellie to sleep in her cot at bedtime then she normally wakes for a feed at around 7am so I put her in bed and lie next to her feeding & cuddling then when shes done she falls asleep and i just move over a bit, I tuck the quilt under me at the edge so it doesnt go over her.. we stay like that til we get up.

I bring Jacob into our bed around 6 on a morning after his feed. I do the same as you Kim but i've never fell asleep cuddling him. I can't! I can when he is just next to me though. I worry about the safety aspect of co-sleeping too :?

right now im co-sleeping with emily, as it settles her so much. She seems a little more clingy then hannah ever was, but that dosent bother me at this stage, im just getting to know her.

I seem to be doing the nose to nose thing with her - ad yeah it makes me feel very needed :D
I dont plan to do it for months on end, but right now (she really still should be in my tummy) i feel its right for us.
Emily mainly sleep mostly on the pillow and round me head. lol. (OH is working nights mostly latley so we have the bed to our selves)

Isaac always slept in just a vest or vest and babygro under the duvet with me. One arm placed along the top of his head, the other in front of him, he cuddles that arm. Have done that with him since he was tiny and its worked fine for us, but there are published guidelines for any concerns you may have, your HV should be able to offer you leaflets too  I've always loved co-sleeping and Isaac does too :D

harriets sleeps cuddling mine or OH's arm with duvet up to waist. and Alana on other side of me.

she loves sleeping like that, or during day she snuggles in daddies fleece dressing gown on sofa.

Cally sleeps beside me,snuggled into me (usually eitheron the boob or using it as a pillow). It can get quite warm so I will tuck the duvet under myleg soit coversme, not Cally and she did have a blanket over her but now she is a bit older she is in her grobag.

So she sleeps like this

My fave though is when Seren joins us (she only does it occasionally now though :() and I have my two girlies snuggling up to me.

Gratuitous cute pic B! She's beautiful :D

We co-sleep like this.

Stanley wakes up shouting 'bottle' and refuses to go back to sleep.
I bring him in with us and put him in the middle.
Stanley is unable to lie vertically so starfishes it horizontally.
Stanley headbuts his dad and kicks me in the face. Repeatedly.
I realise I need to cut his toenails.
DH swears loudly and huffs off to spare room.
Stanley thrashes about and almost falls off the bed several times.
I spend all night reaching over and catching him by the ankles before he hits the deck.
Get up at 6am shattered. :bored:

Loved it when he was tiny though :D

Love it, bless stanley he's such a cutey!! Bet u dont think that at 3am wen he's kicking u in the head tho

We co-sleep more often than not and he sleeps in between me and oh under the duvet and he usually gets himself into a position then snuggles unto me and puts his arm over me or tries to grap one of oh's arms and one of mine and wriggles till he gets what he wants.

As cute as it us i dont get much sleep until oh gets out of bed the next morning cause they are both big lads so not much room.

Finn sleeps in his cot all night but if he is awake at 6ish I put him on top of the quilt between us in his sleeping bag.

Clark comes in with us in the mornings, he lies on his back in between us, then I have to lie in the recovery possition, tuck his arm thats closest to me under my boob (helps if you have big boobs for this), then put my free arm over the top of him and pin his other arm down! This takes a bit of wrestling, especially to get him to keep his dummy in his mouth, but as soon as we master it he goes straight back to sleep for an hour or so! Bliss! As for the duvet, I only have it up to my waist anyway so it isnt on him at all.

We put lil miss to sleep in her cot... to which she screams and screams and screams till finally I go in and stick a boob in her head around midnight, where I fall asleep cos I'm tired... I have taken to wearing pj's because I don't have any covers on me because I am too afraid of lil miss getting covered... she then huffs and puffs all night cos the boob keeps falling out her gob...so I pop it back in and she goes to sleep.... and there we stay till around 8ish when I finally give up trying to get any decent sleep and get up to sort Tia out... sigh.. sleep sounds sooo nice..

Harrison is in our bed from about 5am, he sleep between me and sean with duvet up to waist - he always faces me though :D - I nuzzle up to him but I don't go back to sleep, usually just lay there watching him

Very odd occasions when immy was tiny i co slept when i breastfed her for a few days cos it was a case of she would scream and scream until she was on the breast. And i did worry about her but bthank god we have a kingsie bed so loads of room!

Though shes bottefed and has been since 4/5 days old i put her in her cot from then on becaue my nerves were ragged and couldnt sleep with her in my bed.

Its bad enough when she comes in bed for half hour for a bottle in the morning.

i didnt co-sleep til 17 weeks as was paranoid, but when BFing used to put her between me and boyf, in her grobag, under duvet with no pillow. i would sleep halfway down the bed so i didnt pull the duvet over her head!
i used to fall asleep with her latched on too.
i havent done it since i stopped bfing

Adam has acid reflux and in the begining he wouldn't sleep on his own so I would bring him to bed with us on top of the quilt in his sleeping bag. He would only fall asleep if he could feel me breathing on him.

Now at 3 months, I cuddle him in while in bed with me at around 9.30pm, then put him in his own cotbed in his sleeping bag about 10pm. He wakes anytime between 1am and 5am wanting a mummy cuddle and I bring him into bed with us under the quilt. He is out of his sleeping bag and the quilt is no higher than his waist.

He has a bottle sometime between 5 - 6 am and we cuddle back in until 8am.

I have had to invest in long sleeved night wear as my arms get quite chilly being out of the quilt. xxx
