Hi everyone.

I am currently on my Honeymoon after a perfect wedding on Saturday - I will post pics asap! Im in Portugal and having a fab time, been here since Sunday and just noticed that Im getting dark patches on my face, above my top lip. I know that this is quite common during pregnancy and so I was being really careful wearing high factor suncream - i havent even gone red or anything but for some bloomin reason now have brown marks above my lip which looks like I have eaten chocolate and missed my mouth!! I wondered if anyone else had these and whether they really DO fade after pregnancy and if there are any creams I can buy to reduce them whilst I am pregnant or if I need to wait til after the birth. I hope everyone is getting on well. My mum laughed at me when I told her we were taking the laptop on our Honeymoon but I couldnt be without you guys for 2 whole weeks!! :rotfl: Hope the weather in Blighty isnt too bad. If its any consolation its gorgeous here!!!

my top lips darker than bottom mine i thought cause i burnt my face in 06 or 05 cant remember which year lol and thought that was why, maybe its pregnancy also then. nevermind lol

jyust wanted to say congrats on your wedding and if your lip still like it when u get back maybe see your gp if your concerned just incase :)

Hi J-do

just wanted to congratulate you :D

not sure about the marks, think its called chloasma (sp) or something like that, ive never had it but it IS meant to fade after the birth.

Make the most of the sun, when pregnant all the high hormone levels tan you quicker but just be carefull not to burn

Have fun and Congrats again

Thanks Nikki!

Im having a fantastic time - the brown patch actually isnt too bad today I think I was being a little paranoid yesterday! Just gonna load on the suntan cream and enjoy the sun! Its so lovely to see the sun shining - its no wonder so many of us Brits get down at home - the weather really does make a huge difference to how I feel and what mood Im in! Although Im guessing my hormones have a lot to do with that as well!!!

hey just enjoy it, cause there's not a lot of it around here lately

and what better time to be feeling all happy than on your honey moon
