My skin is so bad its leaving me unable to hold my baby or breastfeed :-( I've never had bad skin before but its getting worse hourly. Saw 2 GPs later who said they were stumped. I'm on strong steroid cream and piriton but its burning and agonising.

Anyone got any ideas? I did not factor thus in with the sleepless nights!

Xx

Hi hun, thanks :-) I did some digging and it looks very much like PUPPPS. I saw 5 MW during my labour, none recognised it. I saw my GP Mon for the hew baby check, she was stumped, I saw all the emergency GPS at the walk in yesterday (they all wanted a look!) And a GP today. No one has even mentioned pupps!

But they are extremely worried about the spread. In the time from leaving home to being seen, it had spread all the way to my hands in an hour. They have put me on high dose oral steroids. I have to go back tomorro. If no better they are admitting me to hospital!

Luckily piriton and pred are ok in breastfeeding. I'm a sad itchy mum :-(

Xx

Hope you're feeling better hun and they have not needed to admit you?

My husband just said that his best friends wife had this following labour.

Hugs xxx

I managed to avoid hospital yay, and the steroids have definately helped thanks. It seems to be easing off.

I've stopped the piriton though as I'm sure it has been affecting my milk and making LO irritable. Rather I was itchy then she was grumpy and hungry lol

Xx

Oh bless you...that looks REALLY itchy :-( Hope it's clearing up nicely xx
