silly food question

ok so i went to a wedding last sat and have been given the last of the wedding cake, but can i eat the marzipan? as i know it contains raw egg, i didnt eat any of the marzipan while at the wedding, so i will scoop it off if i have too but i love marzipan . . . and wedding cake . . . all cake in fact any ideas?!?

I can't think of a single person I know that has ever got food poisoning from marzipan so if the cake's fresh I'd say go for it.

As mass produced marzipan uses egg which has been pasteurised it's absolutely fine to eat hun x

thankx ladies! well last night i had a slice and took the marzipan off and let OH eat it, but tonight i'm going to eat it all myself!!! mmmmmm cake!!!!!
