ok, been having bad period like pains and back pain for two weeks now, always worse at night, think cuz I'm lying down. Not sleeping well either but got up last night at 5.30 with bad pains, and I was hungry so made toast, sat on sofa and had braxton hicks contraction. It was different this time though as I could feel the contraction pushing something out!! Went to the toilet and something plopped into it, looked like a blob of mucus, I wiped and more mucus but not pink, it was light brown. Is this my show or something else?
Still having period like cramps and back pain but no regular contractions. Seeing midwife tomorrow anyway but just wanted some advice

Sounds like you've had your show hun. It doesnt have to be blood stained it can be stringy or lumpy etc.

Keep an eye on your braxton hicks contractions, they could turn into labour contractions. Time them and see when there coming. If they get worse before tomorrow give your MW a ring today.
