Hi Chazabell

Just to let you know i used to have bad periods. Painful and at times very heavy. It wasn't until i started TTCing and nothing was happening that i went to my fertility doctor. One of the routine tests was a Lap and Dye test. They found i had endrometrosis. This was successfully removed and from then on my periods were a lot lighter and much less painful.

Ask your doctor about this as many women all over the world suffer from Endo and most of the time it is not identified untill many years later. The doctor said after that this would not prevent me from having any children but so far i remain under the Unexplained Infertility unbrella!

Hope this helps a little. Good luck with everything x

Hi Hun,
Try not to worry. My periods were always a breeze, used to take the piss out my sis cos she used to cry when she had hers and I didn't know what the fuss was about.....until 6months ago. We have been trying for 14months now.

2 months ago mine were sooooo bad, i went thru 3tampons in an hour, to the point i had to put a pad on too. I was in tears, doubled over, couldn't walk and White as a sheet. My oh took me to the docs asap and I was prescribed mefenamic acid, this is for the pain itself and tranexamic acid is to slow the flow down, not stop it, just calm it down a bit.

He gave me enough to cover 2months, but I get it repeated. I take it when I first get a show and it's not too bad after that, still sore, still there etc, but a lot more bearable.

Please go to doctors and explain Hun. Let us know how u get on xx

Thanks hun, im mad busy with work and bloody short staffed AND i have to change doctors as ive moved so hopefully ill be able to book in when AF is due, then i can walk in doubled over and they can help lol.

All your replies have made me feel much more relaxed, thank you :) xxxx
