Should I see a GP/MW?

Felt actually quite fine/normal this morning, but earlier at work then suddenly got light-headed/weirdly nervous and actually threw up twice. Took myself off home now, but wonder whether it's ok to just stay in bed or whether I should also seek medical attention? If it was just about me, I wouldn't bother just yet, but with pregnant, I'm not so sure. I have felt movements today, actually feeling some right now (which really doesn't help with feeling sick), so I guess that's good, but am really not sure, what I should do.

Don't want to be a hysterical pregnant lady, but don't want to risk anything either. Any advice? I've never had morning sickness to a level which made me throw up, and I guess at 24+something it wouldn't be that anyway.

It's probably worth seeing your doc or calling your midwife, but i imagine it's nothing to do with your pregnancy (unless the baby kicked in a weird way and maybe made you feel sick? I've heard of that kind of thing happening to some people).

It's just always best to put your own mind at rest, no matter what the problem i think. At least then you can just rest up and let it pass (it may be a bug or something normal like that)

Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

There's no harm in ringing your midwife or docs and asking advice. It might be just one of those things but you'll feel better for checking, and the midwife won't mind, it's better to be sure of these things.

Calling your midwife would prob set your mind at ease but it was prob just a case of overdoing it, or low blood sugar or something along those lines. I

had a dizzy spell that made me feel very odd and sick a couple of days ago, but I had a glass of fruit juice and a sit down for a bit and was fine later. You need to remember that the baby will be well protected and be getting all your nutrients etc, so it'll be fine but you will suffer!

Thanks all, your replies already calm me quite a bit.
Decided to just leave it for now, and have a good snooze and if it persists later or I throw up again I'll ring my MW.

Your MW and GP are there to resure you. If you have any doubt, even a tini-tiny bit i would give them a ring. They get paid to deal with hysterical pregnant women

Hope you feel better soon.

Just to say I still feel rotten. Phoned the surgery this morning but they didn't have any appointments left, so I just got a phone call from a GP. He pretty much confirmed what everybody has said, told me that I should have plenty of fluids and rest, but as long as Horatio is kicking away happily there's no need to worry. Am quite happy with that, especially as I really don't fancy getting dressed and walking to the surgery.

Am much calmer now, just still feeling bleurgh.

Hope you are feeling better soon, but if not don't feel bad about calling the mw or GP again.
