Before i dye my hair??? ive heard you can react to things differently when pregnant xxx

Your abit more sensitive when pregnant and the colour can develop differently than normal although I never did skin tests and I was fine :)

I never bothered with skin tests or anything lol. Just got on with it! X

While you will probably be fine sweetie I would still recommend doing a skin test. I am a hairdresser by trade and you can have some seriously nasty reactions and as your body has changed you could possibly react differently to the chemicals and the last thing you want before Christmas is a chemical burn!!

I know you 'should', but you 'should' every time you do it and I never bother then either... did mine the other day and didn't do a skin test and was exactly the same as any other time.

its my hair thats changed not my skin, i was cautious and did a skin test just in case but i dye i normally use just didnt work on my hair! so weird! x

I haven't dyed my hair in ages :S lol I can see my blonde bits now >.< after being a dark brunnette x

I decided on not dying my hair at all whilst pregnant as this baby I am having was well wanted and planned for was shocked when I found out as was due for an xray :S x

I'm petrified at the mo of getting any chemicals in my body while bean is so small and delicate... is hair dye ok? I think I'll just grow old gracefully now and let the grey grow! :-) Xx

Yes yes yes deffo! I used to work in a hairdressers! deffoooooooooo do it lol

I recently got my hair done, and just decided to get a cut. I did ask about dye's, and the hairdresser said foils would be fine as they aren't on the scalp, I only have highlights and lowlights (i think they are called!) anyway not all over :-). She also said she dyed her hair all the way through her pregnancy and so did another hairdresser who said she done all over dye! She said it was personal choice really, so i decided to leave it. I'm not risking hurting wee beany. I will consider highlights in tri 2 when i heard its safer :-) but yeah i would do a skin test hun x
