Should I be worried?

I have been suffering with horrendous morning sickness since before I got my BFP. I have been really really ill for weeks to a point where I have lost half a stone and I haven't seen the outside world for 3 weeks! Yesterday and today iv felt nothing; I don't feel pregnant anymore. No sickness it's just vanished!

I am wondering if all the sickness was due to the water infection and now that it's been treated I feel better or whether I should be worried!

In not had any bleeding but iv had some sharp cramps but nothing too serious. Scan is on the 22nd but I don't know if I should wait that long!

Call your midwife and see what they suggest chick.

Sounds like it could be related did you have sickness in any of your other pregnancies ? Xx

Horrible sickness with both my daughters and not too bad with my son. I'm hoping it's just the water infection and I am worrying over nothing. I will call my midwife tomorrow. I am ever so slightly hoping I wake up with sickness!

I've been told that symptoms come and go, so hopefully your sickness is just easing.

Maybe call your midwife if your worried xx

I have called the doctor today because I don't really feel anything now! I opened the fridge today without gagging! I hate the smell of strong cheese and our fridge is full of it! Got the milk out today and nothin no sickness or gagging. It just seems strange that it has gone from extreme morning sickness to nothing in the space of a say seems odd x

Ok so the doctor rang back and gave me a number to ring to go and be assessed. I rang them and basically said there isn't much point going because they can't diagnose me due to no scan being available! They said I can go if I want but implied there was no point! I don't know what to do!

Was that the EPU? If not I would ring your EPU directly and find out what you need to do to be referred to them, they'll be able to do a scan to put your mind at ease xx

That was the gynecological ward at St Marys hospital in manchester. Its the only EPU open near me. The hospital near me closed it's maternity unit down a few years back. The doctor said it was the only place I could go to today.

That's rubbish, I'm surprised they wouldn't have the facilities to do a scan!? Would it be different tomorrow? I'm sure there's no need to worry, but it would be nice to get checked out xx

They said I could go to be assessed but I would have to go back tomorrow for a scan. I'm just debating whether we should go today and get the ball rolling, they should be able to do bloods or check for a hb surely .

Its for the best iv started having cramps but I think it might be me over thinking it. There is no point hanging about worrying.

Hi Charlie. How are you feeling now? Can't you get your GP to refer you to your local early pregnancy unit for a scan? If you're cramping it sounds warranted. I was bleeding yesterday so went see the emergency GP at the hospital. I'm booked in to the EPU tomorrow morning for a scan, otherwise I'd be waiting till Jan 4th. I'm 10 weeks 5 days x

If it's anything like here they don't scan at weekends .I'd be tempted to go today for assessment and then they should scan you tomorrow. Hopefully it's all okay though, the placenta kicking in will ease symptoms xx

Can you not get an appointment for a private scan? I know SOME mothercare stores do them. Or Google private scans in your area. Hope all is ok. My sickness eased at about 15 weeks til about 16 weeks(not long I know) but enough to panic me a bit, prayed for sickness so I knew baby was fine and then that night i was as sick as a dog .
