Hi

After hubby panicking, then much discussion, followed by me deciding absolutely no way never.......it looks like we may be tentatively stepping into the world of ttc together. I'm scared I've agreed to it and it will be the most stupid thing I've done, I'm scared things will go wrong if I did end up pregnant, I'm worried about what others will think, worried about my job and how my friends will react........but know that my own children and hubby's family would be ecstatic for us if we were lucky enough to get pregnant.

Please tell me my worries are normal??!!??!!

Eek!!!!

Personally, worry less about what anyone will think of you and your hubby TTC no matter what your situation is. If you both want a baby then go for it.
It’s no1 business to judge and even if they did judge you who even cares!! As long as you and your family are happy that’s all that matters!

For sure you will get new friends when you are pregnant, and will meet families with small children who will become your new friends when you have your baby. Stay positive x

Thank you for your supportive reply. I'm slightly older than people generally are for ttc with their partner for the first time (I have children from a previous marriage, he has 1 high maintenance child to someone who was a friend with benefits, she's the the youngest at 7), I only started a new job at Easter (which I totally love) and we have lots of things we want to do to our house. We both really want a child together, but other people's opinions taint my excitement as hubby had decided we'd go for it last year and we set the ball rolling, then he unceremoniously changed his mind and I was heartbroken. So I'm very nervous because my head says it's the most stupidest thing to do ever, but my heart says go for it as we will both regret it forever if we don't.

There are family members who think it would be amazing, but my closest friends think it would be a ridiculous thing to do as they've seen hubby be so up and down, for and against, and how he is with his daughter (she wraps him round her little finger and creates problems by lying, answering him back, not following the family rules etc and he doesn't chastise her like we both do with my children).

I hope it will be the making of him as he, and his family, thinks it will x
