Shaving...how difficult does it get???

I shaved my legs this morning, my bump has expanded (and is ever expanding daily at the min ) and how difficult can it be????

How do you girlies cope with this necessity of life? I usually stand up and shave propping my foot up on a stool or something like that. I don't usually have baths, does this mean I have to start having a bath every time I wanna shave?? soon I won't be able to see my lady garden to sort them out i don't wanna go into labour looking overgrown

It's so annoying! I have baths so I shave my legs in the bath (not often, I must admit lol ) but I've completely given up with my Minnie! No-one sees it anyway, so I do leave a fair few days between hacking it down!!

Lord knows how we'll get around it! xx

I have always shaved my legs lying down in the bath and pulling my leg in towards me, it's getting rather difficult already now so I think I might have to find a new method.

Ooh yes, this is a pain in the arse.....my legs need shaving but I couldn't be bothered with the effort today, even in the bath! And as for the pum pum, no chance

Also, OH now has to do my shoes up for me

i always use hair remover on my legs which i'm not sure i should be doing but oh well not had any bad reactions to it so i think its ok and i'm just about able to still do this ok but when i can't i'll just get someone else to do it for me i have never shaved my legs before i have always used cream.

as for my lady garden thats a little more difficult. i've not seen it for a good few weeks now. it sort of happened over night. one day i could see it just fine the next it had gone but i kinda know where all the hair grows so i am just about able to do a good job shaving in the bath or shower without having to look at it although i find i am cutting myself a lot more

At this point of my pregnancy and for a few weeks gone now I have had my hubby shave my legs for me. He does a pretty good job.

As for the rest, I just wing it and tidy up rather than try to give it the full treatment. MW's don't care what you look like down there tbh, and I've had no end of nurses and doctors tell me that shaving your foof/lady garden or whatever you want to call it is acutally not a good idea as the razor can nick skin even if you don't realise and therefore cause infection and soreness. They would much rather things were left alone

I'm soooooooo glad it's not just me sherlock thats interesting and I understand that...but no way am I leaving my lady garden to grow, this is prob tmi but....it gets WELL overgrown if I just leave it I'm dark haired and even got hairy arms not too bad though I've seen worse but still, I'm SOOO hairy...

Gonna have to get DH to make me presentable during the next few months

When I was PG with my son, DH had to shave my lady garden for me He hated doing it but I just couldn't bare to have it overgrown!! I have reminded him that he will have to do it again for me, his face was a picture

The hairs on my legs seem to have stopped/slow down in growing. Given up on my lady garden my bump is to big (will post pictures soon of my bump)

I need to attempt my legs tonight in the shower, I seem to be getting to the point where bending is getting uncomfortable. My lady garden needs desperate maintenance, I am considering getting a cheap electric razor and taking it all off that way so I avoid nicks from a wet razor.

I'm quite lucky my hubby does my legs for me i wouldn't be able to get down there is someone paid me a million pounds my bump is massive someone said to me i looked as if i was carrying a litter,

as for my lady garden no chance whats so ever can't even see it and when your in labour its the last thing on your mind

as for having a bath even that doesn't happen i look like a beached whale.

We only have a shower at our house but I sit in it and put my legs up haha that sounds weird but it works! As for the lady garden to be honest I couldn't give a toss! Hahaa I am going to look a state anyway after labor and I'm sure they all have a bush, obviously I will keep it as tidy as normal for as long as possible but I'm not too worried!

i shave my legs about once a week now standing up in the bath (we have shower over bath) and i prop my leg up on the side and manage that way.

as for the lady garden.. i attempted to 'feel' my way last time and made a complete mess so OH agreed to do it i hate when it feels all overgrown too, so try to do it at least every 2 weeks now..

pmsl at this thread....i'm doing aquanatal classes otherwise i dont think i would bother with shaving anything Leg hair is hardly growing at all, got a 2 day stubble after about a week!

Ladygarden, give it a good shot by feel, but then when i stand in front of the mirror it looks like stevie wonder's been there with a machette..

Think i might just use the trimmer bit and keep it all really short, thankfully the tankini bottoms i have are lowish cut!

i use cream on my legs, i know you aren't suppoded to (only cos they are not sure), but i do it anyway. I didn't do it first tri at all (needed the extra warmth for winter) so doubt it will have any long term consequesnces.

As for the George (i.e George Bush), DH does that, i think it's only fair he likes it to be short so he can do the wrok, uses an electirc razer and doesn't go to the skin.

I read this post last night and thought - "I'm not at that stage yet"

I then went for a bath and i managed my legs no problem but when it came to my lady Garden i had to use a mirror and you would honestly think i had asked Sweeny Todd to do it for me it was like a blood bath (stupidly used a new blade too!)

me thinks regular trips to a waxing salon is now in order

i know what you mean!! legs are near impossible...nearly drowned trying to shave them last week lol!!might give epilating a go for wee while, see how i get on! god only knows what im gonna look like at 40wks!!!

My legs are still just about possible (but I do have a smaller than average bump!) but down THERE... is a mess!! OH won't do it and although he isn't particularly bothered- I am!

Thinking about going to have a wax next week- might as well up my pain threshold!

Not having a problem shaving my legs yet, but as for down there I am still going to a salon for my regular wax... then I don't have to worry about giving myself a hernia trying to do it myself!!

May go to leg waxing soon as i am starting to realize i don't bend in the middle anymore!!
