I am having a Section next week. EEK
I have been told I need to do a "Bikini" shave. BUT I have no idea exactly what this means!
How far down do I need to shave? I dont want to be completly bald as I dont like it, so im thinking shave down to where the 2 lips meet at the top, and trimming the rest very short with scissors?
(I can still see my bits without too much of a problem)

I feel so silly for asking this!

When I had an energency section they just shaved about an inch and a half from the top, just enough to give them a clear area to cut I think. Good luck with yours

I was prepped for a caesarian and they just shaved an inch or 2. It was a total hack job though!

Mine was an emergency c-section too and the nurse shaved a couple of cm's down from the top.

How the bloomin' heck are you supposed to see to do it yourself with a huge bump hanging over the top?  Mirrors at the ready I guess :rotfl:

Good luck with your c-section.

I wasn't told to do this for either of my sections but I did it for the second as with the first the hospital did it and it wasn't pretty! :)

I used Nair hair removal cream. Just put it on using a mirror on the bed to see below the bump. Left it for about 10 mins then showered it off. It was easy. I only removed about an inch and half along the top. That was enough. :)

Good luck with your section :D

Snap! They left me relatively in-tact so to speak!

 Told to do it yourself?!! I've had two sections and both times I've gone in with an untidy lady garden!

NHS cutbacks! (no pun intended :rotfl: ) Whatever next

Good luck with the section btw
