A few weeks back i think i did something to the left muscle in my fairy and if the baby puts pressure on it it kills ( like a bruising pressure) and just doesnt seem to be getting better. i can just about cope with that but recently have been getting alot of pain down there which i know is normal but last night it was really sharp it took my breath away, i had it the other night too, iv noticed it is when the baby moves & its not contractions (i dont think) but i thought maybe it was going to lead to it.

I just dont remember having this kind of pain with my 1st ....
is it any indication that it might happen soon? or is something wrong? anyone else had simular or know what it is?

I'm so sorry please forgive me for laughing but I thought me and my mum were the only ones who called it a fairy.
Im sorry for laughing when your asking for help I couldn't resist

Might just be that your feeling the baby move into your pelvis, or its the way its laying duds.
I had something simillar at asda last night, but it was in the right area!

Same as you I am now getting lots of sharp 'shocks' which take my breath away and make my eyes water! Told my midwife about it last week and he said its Braxton Hicks. I explained that I thought these were meant to be a tightening across the belly (I never had them last time around so not sure what to expect) and he said not always, also sometimes when the baby moves it will now really stretch you due to the size of the baby at this late stage. Personally I was a bit disappointed as I had hoped things were starting for me but nope, not yet!

Hi

When i was having this i went to my weekly appa nd baby had engaged so maybe its baby just moving down lower?

Duds, we are due a similar time, and I've just started having these pains "down below" which are quite sharp at times. They started yesterday afternoon and by the late evening I could hardly move off the sofa. I went to bed feeling very tearful, stiff and unable to turn without whimpering. :( Sounds pathetic but they were very painful.

I am worried it's the SPD coming back but I have a physio appt tomorrow so will get it checked out.

Otherwise, I think it might be the baby's head engaging, shifting downwards for delivery, and I'm hoping that it is a positive sign baby will come early - or at least on time!

thats ok vickyleigh im not offended ! didnt know what to call it!

Hopefully it is just her engaging then & we all seem to experiencing simular us girls that are due the same time. (im actually due the 19th Sabrina, my ticker is a bit out)
The baby was just moving and i heard something "click" down there, well freaked me out.... god knows what that was?!!!

I've been getting the shooting pains for weeks and midwife just said she was moving further down. It don't half shock you tho when it happens. Lil sods arn't they! lol
