Sexual health & infection check up?

Hello all
I was wondering if anyone did a sexual screening, infections check up, ect. before getting pregnant? We are in Manchester and I just don't know where to start.

i hvent because ive had laser surgery this year and many colpocspies / smears so now im all clear

but i think if i hadnt have had these done i would go for a smear test anyway and check , think that shows any std's anyway , maybe a blood test too

Thank you for your reply G3M. I had a smear and a blood test about a year ago. I never heard anything back from the clinic. Guess they do not contact their patiens when everything is okay and there are no infections? My husband went there for a check up too.

How important do you think it is to go for a test just before trying for a baby? Is it okay not to bother when living with regular partner?

I always got my regular pap screens each year, and now that ive been with the same guy for 3 and a half years i think as long as youde had one with that same person it dont matter that much
