sex after natural delivery - questions

Well I've been wanting too for a couple of weeks and finally plucked up the courage to try last night. It felt completely different! I feel really different down there, it hurt and tighter than before Austin was born. OH commented that it was tighter.

I guess I'm just wondering if this is normal? I've not felt right since he was born, but at the last check the midwife said my labial tear had completely healed so I thought it would all be back to normal?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I really want to get back to how I was before but I'm a bit scared to try again because it hurt?

I would have thought it would have been looser!! But then again you have not attempted this for a while so maybe the more you try the better it will get, try the old ky as well! You are a brave lady, the thought makes me come out in a cold sweat!!!

Its been pretty much the same for me although definatly not tighter. I wish! I tore when I had my first it took a lot longer to feel comfy again, like about 2 months and even the it was still sore where I had been stitched.

when we first did t last week it did feel quite tight down there too (you wouldnt of thought so after having 4 kids lol)

i dont really have any advice but we did it a few days ago and to me i feel looser tho OH said it doesnt feel any different. but it wasnt painful. so maybe just give urself a little bit longer before you try again

I was/am still abit tighter than before I think, it must have something to do with having stitches? I had internal ones though but the sex is still great and most of the time not uncomfortable

I had loads of stitches but mine still ended up like a wizard's sleeve........

Tried again today, still painful. I suppose I should be grateful it's tighter not looser! Just a bit concerned as I wasn't expecting it to be like it was. I guess I'll get the doc to check all is as it should be when I have my 6 week check (in 2 weeks time!).

I had stitches with jodie so wouldn't know if it would have been tighter. But we had to wait for about 4 weeks it was hell i was dreaming of it we had been waiting so long. If it feels a bit tight maybe use a bit of K-Y jelly save getting sore. or speak to your doc. Good luck
