sex after a c section

When did you DTD? Was going to ask the mw this wk but my parents will be there, bit awkward! Haha
It's been about 9 days without it and I'm getting antsy. I get the feeling the medical line will be 6 weeks... They can forget that!!! My bleeding is already very light, not sure how long there's a risk of infection? Does your cervix need to close up?? I dont know if mine ever dilated
Anyone got any experience they'd like to share?

I had an emergency c section. I waited until my bleeding had stopped completely which was just under 4 weeks. Sex was fine. A wee bit uncomfortable but I put that down to the fact that I also has forceps up there. Totally fine now tho x

We left it quite a few weeks, but mostly because I just didn't feel like it (I think my poor hubby did though!!!). I had no real bleeding of any kind afterwards, but my scar felt sore and tender. We've had to change the way we do things now because of it (it still gets tender and feels weird, kind of ruins the mood). I don't remember getting any kind of advice as to how long to wait.
