I've tried rennie gavascon milk and a few home remedies, anyone trying anything and it's working? I keep bringing up some acid and it's really hurting my throat :( xxx

I honestly some nights have to have bottles upon bottles of freezing cold water, and sucking ice cubes! Xx

I'll give that a whirl Ramsey anything to ease it off I feel dreadful it just hurts I can't swallow without it being constantly nagging and I don't think I can overdose on gavascon but wouldn't go too nuts on it xxx

Ranitidine is what worked for me. And mcflurries

Sounds like you need to push GP for meds like renitidine or omeprazole to control the amount of acid you produce

Stuff of champions - :)

I personally find peppermint or chamomile tea really helps, well is the only thing that help for me. Hope this helps love xxx

Highly recommend ranitidine - speak to your GP ASAP. Taking too much gaviscon can stop the baby absorbing some vitamins/nutrients x

Definately get straight onto the doc on the morning and ask for ranitidine or omeprazole. Im on omeprazole (ranitidine didnt work for me) and honestly its a life saver! Im so glad i got it. Iv been taking it for weeks! I keep gaviscon by my bed and gulp it if i need it. Its very very rare id need to now tho. I used to go through a bottle a month - heartburn never left me since my first pg!
Iv also hear loveheart sweets help - never tried this tho! Xx

Omeprazole and ranatadine for me and a magnesium compound I've just been prescribed today. My doc doesn't like gaviscon for the absorption either and it constipates me terribly. Altering my diet has helped, but I sooo miss tea and dairy :( xx

I think I'll ring the Dr today, thank you ladies. After having some gavascon, ice cubes and ice cold water it finally eased off only to come back worse at 5am so I've not had a great night. It comes and goes but it worse if I eat anything with spice in it and I don't remember eating that yesterday. Xxx

Thank you Hun, I'll get some extra pillows today to help too xx

This is for me the worst thing about pregnancy. I literally can only eat a handful of different foods and get away with it. I have omeprozole but it only takes the edge off really. I would say definitely go to the dr but also look up the foods that trigger acid reflux. You'd be surprised how many do. I feel your pain! X
