Serious advice needed!

As I posted the other day, I have abnormal bleeding. My period arrived 6 days late, lasted for only 3 days and was really light with light cramps, tampons were pointless!! Then it appeared again 3 days later, and has been here ever since. Light bleeding for 14 days now. Varies from brown to fresh red blood. I have had a few cramps over these 14 days but nothing that's made me want to take any pain killers.

I booked in to see my gp today who didn't have a clue what to think as this has never happened to me before. He spoke to another Dr who has suggested he call the ACU and see what they say. She said that bleeding is normal in early pregnancy

He then asked if I feel pregnant I have no idea what that feels like and no I don't feel fat but my boobs are sore.

So....it's either naff all or.....we could have done it

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or herd of anything like this? I did a test after my period vanished and was BFN on a cheapie xxx

Have you tried a test since? I would if I were you

My symptoms were sore boobs, tiredness, frequent urination. Other than that i had nothing! Nothing at all! Lack if symptoms means nothing. I don't even have sickness, just going off stuff COsit doesn't taste the same.

I had light bleeding for a week at 6 weeks snd told if was implantation at a scan. There's loads of ladies in tri1 who had bleeding. My mum had periods for 3 months and didn't find out she was pregnant for months. She tried for 6 years before she got pregnant

No I advent tested since, I had a false positive in May so im reluctant to test now. Only did it on a whim xx

Test but use a digi as they're much less likely to give a false positive

I do hope this is it for you Chaz, I understand why you may be reluctant to test but it's the only way of finding out

Q: have you been on any medication that could of caused this though?

Hi this is happening to me right now and I had my bfp a week ago. Iv had light red and brown bleeding the last 13 days. It started at 7dpo and I got bfp at 11 dpo, I tested as it wasn't enough for af.
Unfortunately I'm having to get bloods checked to see which way it's progressing and I had a mc in may.

Hi Chaz, I really hope this is it and you get your BFP. I know it's scary to test, but it is better to know than not, even if it's not great news (trust me, I know).

Pregnacare caused some light bleeding with me. Just a thought?

I haven't had any medication. When I tested I will have been around 20dpo. I haven't had any clotting either so. Wouldn't class any of the bleeding a period.

I don't feel bloated either, I feel like I have possibly lost some weight. This month around I my cm was very watery and I had gushes that made me feel like I'd wet myself. Hoping Dr will call back 1st thing as I'm in work at 12.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, it's just it's never ever happened before!! xx

Dr called back after speaking to the gynae registrar who said take tranexamic acid to stop the bleed. Doesn't really answer my question tho does it. I'm bleeding for a reason.....surely it's best to let it flush out than stop it??? Then the ACU have tried to call me, but I can't call them until tomorrow.

Had 30 mins of AF type tummy ache this afternoon, but still the light bleed xxx

I'm reluctant to take the medication, I've not had a proper period yet and surely I need this to sort itself out rather than force it away? I just want some answers to why this is happening. I know my body and I have been right about things when Dr's haven't listened.

I'm 50/50 as to wether we have done it or not, I ovulated around 4th/ 5th July and we were away camping so we had lots of fun ttc, and the 3 day bleed arrived 24th/ 25th July. Then reappeared 31st July and is still here.

Am I being stupid not testing yet wanting some answers? ACU on 5th Aug weren't concerned I may be pregnant and neither my Dr today. No one offered to do bloods or urine xxx

If it were me I'd probably test just to rule it out. I think your right about letting your body do what it wants to naturally in this situation. Hope you get an answer soon xx

I think I would for peace of mind. I took something similar to stop my long bleed many years ago and it didn't work, eventually stopped on its own, listen to your gut xx

I've no idea what's gone on, but I think AF is here....finally! Severe cramps as usual and heavy bleeding. Nurse at the ACU thinks I could have possibly had a burst cyst on my ovary....or an iffy cycle! Hopefully AF is over soon as I can't cope with 14 days of this! Thanks for your replies girls xx

Hope the cramps ease soon, I take nurofen plus for my period pain and helps a lot. Also, hope AF is over very soon so you can move on to a fresh cycle xx
