Sensitive to read... Please be aware.

Hi ladies,

I'm going to spoiler what I have to say because I feel for some ladies this may come across as very sensitive, but I am posting this because I want to know if anyone has had any similar occurrences...

So last night I had an absolutely terrible dream. I dreamed that I went to the toilet, and had a miscarriage. What came out from inside of me was like this:

But you could not see the fetus inside, you could only see the fetus if you squeezed this oval shaped thing. It was kind of like one of those kids toys that when you squeeze it a bubble pops out... Like this:

And it was only when you squeezed it you could see this fetus inside. But this fetus looked exactly like a fully formed baby - just really really small.

And when I held this oval shaped thing in my hand with the fetus inside, I could feel the heart beating while holding it in my hands. I don't recall seeing any blood or anything (I've heard if you see blood in your dreams that's really bad), but it was such a horrible and terrifying dream.

I woke up and immediately clutched my belly and had a sigh of relief that it wasn't real. I couldn't believe it.

I really do apologise in advance if this is too sensitive for anyone, but I spoilered it and tried to make it as sensitive as possible as I know this may hit spots for women who've had a miscarriage before. I'm just really wanting to know if anyone has had this before or anything similar? It was terrifying!! Just told OH about it and he was like OMG that's horrible!!!

I don't know if it's because I know how important and dangerous these first 12 weeks are or not, but this was just truly horrible.......

Anyone had anything similar?

Apologise again if this upsets anyone just need someone to speak to.........

I had a weird dream i had a few plums stuck up my cervix and they came out when i squeezed it in my dream, they were all red and shiny bulbs, and then i squueezed and some safety pins came out too. I dont think it means anything, our minds just play tricks on us with thinking about the baby all the time.
Hopefully no more dreams like that for you. Xo

Oh that's awful! Pregnancy does cause weird dreams it's the hormones mixed in with anxiety. Hope it doesn't happen again. X

Pregnancy causes vivid dreams my love - don't read anything into such a horrible dream. ThInk of it in the way that your hormone levels must be rising to give you such strange thoughts!! Xxxx

Thanks for the responses ladies! I thought it was my mind playing tricks but just wanted to see if any other ladies had dreamed of something similar. It was very upsetting! Xx

I had the most odd dreams in the first few weeks after finding out, definitely normal but not nice! I even woke up crying once! They did pass for me after 9-10 weeks or so I think

The night before I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I dreamt my brother died and woke up crying. The hormones mess with your brain! I've also had two miscarriages (both early ones) so I know what it's like to fear something like that happening. Now my dreams are crazy too, a lot of the the I dream about my partner leaving me or cheating on me but I think that's all linked to how I feel about myself (like a giant fat whale no one could ever find attractive lol) x
