We dropped off a sample at the local hospital this morning for analysis.... Obviously the sample needs to tested very soon after it is delivered, but I just wondered if anyone knew how long it takes to get the results? I presume they will be sent direct to our GP?

The hospital we went to said 5 working days. They sent the results to our gp and we had to phone to get them. Good luck! I hope your results are good x

Thank you Foxy! Hubby was surprisingly nervous this morning so I'm hoping the results aren't too serious :) did you have to take much action after you got yours?

Yeah, I think we got the results the following weeks as well.
Hubby's morphology was low the first time, so he took vitains and cut out alcohol and caffeine and his next set of results were worse! But we got our bfp this month anyway so don't be too disheartened if they're not great xx

Thank you Unicorn.... I've taken a little break from the site recently & when I saw earlier that you just got a BFP I was really thrilled for you!! Congratulations!!

My DH has been taking vits & trying to be healthy for a few months now - so fingers crossed! But as you demonstrate it only takes one of the crafty spermy rascals to do the job, so hope isn't lost either way! ;)

We had to wait until our consultant appointment to get our results. We were never given the actual figures for the first test and the second he just briefly told us at the appointment and said they were all ok. I don't know if he would have gone into more detail if they hadn't been good. I've found our clinic terrible at passing on results.

So my DH's results came back and the only area for concern was that his seminal fluid would not liquify by itself so the lab had to use a chemical to do it & this issue 'could' cause difficulties for sperm actually making it out & doing their thing (although they don't know for sure)

The Dr said she doesn't know why this happens and had no advice other than the standard - watch general health, diet, exercise & keep testicles cool etc....

Has anyone else had this in their SA results?
