Hi all as some of you know I had some bad pains after my 20 week scan, I was told these were prob bruising from the scan pressure. Luckily these stopped after 24hrs. The thing is the next day I flew to Portugal (where I am now) I haven't had a lot movement since being here. Now I know this could be because I haven't stopped all day but it's really freaking me out!! I didn't bring my Doppler :( and would actually kill for it now!!!
I fly home tomorrow but I'm just so scared those pains were actually something more sinister! I also had the tiniest amount of brown discharge when I wiped just now :(

I'm scared I'm losing my little man xxxx

 try not to panic sweetheart and think rationally. Has it been hot where you are? Are you getting movement when you are relaxing?

Can you ring your mw from there hun or look on the internet for your maternity ward's number? Speaking to them would be reassuring I think and depending on what time you get home tomorrow they might have you in to monitor.

Make sure you don't lift any heavy bags tomorrow, that's what God invented men for. Try and relax love xxxxxxxxx

Awwww, honey I'm so sorry you're feeling upset and worried but I'm sure everything is ok. Try to stay positive. Our LOs are always quieter when we're moving about a lot and they also have quiet days especially if they're going through big a growth spurt which they do between 20 and 24 weeks. Brown discharge is also a sign of old blood not anything recent and many women spot throughout their pregnancies (but I can completely understand why this would worry you honey).

I would try lying down on your side this evening, drinking some water and concentrating on your little man - I'm sure he'll wriggle and reassure you before you fly home. And then you can phone your mw when you get back and reassure yourself.

I hope you feel better soon honey and let us know how you get on

xxxxx

When my baby has been quiet i lay on my back and massage all around my tummy, normally get a response from that hun. And as Verity says brown blood is old blood. You dont tend to notice movements this early on when you are on the go. Try to relax and see if baby gives a wriggle around xx

Thanks all I'm just counting the minutes till we leave, lee thinks I'm over reacting and it's prob because I've been really busy.
I've felt a few flutters since posting but nothing like normal xxxx

 We went to Portugal when I was pregnant with Toby and had been at a wedding all day when I realised I didn't remember feeling him at all that day. I was so used to being kicked all the time that it really worried me but I think we'd just been so busy I hadn't noticed.
Remember your little man is still small enough to be felt a lot less if he turns round so he's kicking into your back or placenta. I had anterior placentas with both boys and didn't feel any movements at all until 20 weeks x x

I reckon you have been busy and not noticed hun. It's probably easily done. I hope you can get some reassurance soon to put your mind at rest x

I am sire ur little one is fine Hun I had days of not much movement until recently they r still so small!

Again thank you all so much, honestly don't know what I'd do without you xxx

Sending u hugs! They say a cold drink and lying on ur back, maybe play some music? Try to really relax Hun, tomorrow is not far away xx

I'm sure everythings fine hun, try not to worry & hope u feel better soon xx

Hi Hun

It's perfectly normal to worry. I too had a worrying few days after my scan when little chip didn't move much, but all was fine and feeling lots of movement now.

When chip is a little on the quiet side i find putting earphones with some music to my tummy helps and before i know it chip is wriggling about all over the place. Try that see if it works.

Let us know how you get on xx

I'm sure everything is ok sue, how are you today? :hugs: xxx

hope all is ok. sure it is :) like others have said, youv prob been too busy to notice!! xxx

Hi ladies you were all right :) I have t needed to touch the Doppler yet, my little one kicked my other half last night for the first tine!!! And he's been quite active today :)
I'm getting some thing that I thi k is movement but I'm not sure, it's like my little boy is pressing hard against my stomach instead of little flutters x.

Pleased you have been reassured. They are little tinkers sometimes, just go quiet to scare us.

That's great news. It's lovely when they start doing those big summersaults! x
