scan today ......

Hi everyone i went for my scan this morning at 9am and got there early i advised them that i had had an early scan due to bleeding and that the bleeding had continued. After been sat there nearly bursting as i had drunk that much water for over an hour i was told that i would not need a further scan due to the other been over 7 weeks and they are able to get a clear date from that. at this point i was getting really annoyed as all i wanted to know was that everything was ok. All the doctor could say was you will have another scan on the 12th March which will be at 20 weeks.

anyway to cut a long story short after she had read my notes from my last pregnancy she said that she would see if they could scan me as my little girl was prem and would also need to check to see if the baby was growing at the normal rate. Why on earth they could not have checked before hand. So now i have to go back at 2pm this aft for the scan i shoul of had at 9am.

sorry for the rant girls just needed to get it out as the doctor just did not seem bothered. I think i was a little mean with how i spoke to her but i could not help it i just want to know that my blob is growing well. the bonus about it is that she told me that i will have 2 futher scans at 28week and 32 week.

How mean of them. I don't see why they couldn't have just scanned you at 9am? At least you're still getting one this afternoon. I hope it all goes well. And great news about getting the extra scans

That's rubbish! I'm really sorry to hear that. Still, I'm pleased for you that they've booked you another. How annoying though. Good luck!

I had an early scan at 7wks and am still booked in to have my 12wk scan - now I'm concerned that they might send me away! I'd like to see them try - I think I'd march into the room and refuse to budge until I'd been scanned!

Glad to here you're still getting your scan though.

I'm glad you stood up and pushed them to scan you.
If they do that to me they'll just have me sat bawling in the waiting room lol.
Hope you're ok and they've scanned you now and that your blob is growing well

Hi all, i eventually got scanned when i went back to the Hospital and my blob is doing well. I would definatly push to have a 12 wek scan done there ws no way that i was waiting till 20 week. I just wanted to put my mind at ease and now i know everything is good and my blob has been growing well i feel a great deal better about it all now.x
