Congratulations on ur twins I say twin 1 is a girl from the nub theory. Can't see the nub on twin 2, bu if the share the same placenta and sac then they are probably identical. Although identical twins are not hereditary, it is just one of the miracles that the egg spilt into two when growing (I know this after doing loads of research as I am a non identical twin and wanted to see what my chances of twins was) xx

Thanks guys. They share the same placenta but have separate sacs, not sure if that means anything they didn't really tell me anything about potential gender. Think I'd prefer 2 girls although been having dreams about a boy and a girl before I knew about this so would be nice to have one of each xxx

Wow twins Hun that's amazing I'd guess a girl from the nub. My friend is pregnant with twins and was told they would be identical as they're sharing a placenta dont know of that's def the case every time though might be worth looking into xx

I feel much better for finally knowing, I've gone the whole of Tri 1 thinking I had some bad illness (was checked for stomach cancer etc) but turns out I have a stomach infection too that I'll have to wait to treat now, so that topped with the symptoms of twins has been pretty crazy. But feel much more energy now.
Strangest thing is I haven't thrown up once the whole pregnancy, have felt very sick but just managed to control my stomach as I hate being sick.
Still trying to get my head around twins, the labour is scary enough but now two! Argh!

I've never seen a scan pic of twins before and always wondered! I think they are girls too. Congratulations. Wow! I think I would have loved twins....or have been one!

I think I can see the nub in the second picture and definitely looks like a girl so if they're the same that'll be twin girls I reckon , congratulations I love the third pic best how cute are they , xx

hiya hun they are amazing pics and your so lucky to have conceived them naturally too wow !!!

if twins share the same placenta they are identical and are always the same sex, if they have a different placenta then they are non identical and can be different or same sex!

my aunty has not long had identical twins and they shared the same placenta and had a few small problems they are healthy lovely little copper haired girls now though, your beautiful babies have one each so are a lot better off ( they dont want to share already lol)
