scan today after a horrid weekend .

well sat i didnt feel well , had a bout of the runs and some funny pains , didnt think much of it

10 pm was getting ready for bed , went to loo ,BRIGHT RED my heart sank and i started crying couldnt then go to bed for worrying , kept going to the loo , it did turn to kinda dark red after a while which i was happy about but then i got stringy like clots

phoned labour ward , who told me i could go to a&e now but if i diidnt have much pain ( it was more like af was coming / here) to go in the morning and try and sleep tonight ( yeh right !! )

so sunday morning , got up with dh who was ment to start work at 8 , but we went to a&e first , was there for 7.30 am ( on a sunday jeeze ! )
got put in a cubical , had a cathator (spl?) put in my hand and a loads of blood taken , aswell as my heart rate and bp

heart rate was so high , my pulse at one point was over 133 ! (normal 80-100) , my blood pressure too was sky high cant rememver the figures as there so confusing !

well 3 hours later ( even tho when i arrived there was only 6 of us in) finally sore a doc ,who did an internal , saw blood but no active bleeding and my cervix was closed

she said she would refere me for a scan today at the EPU , and to go home and rest , but i wasnt allowed home till my bp and hr went down

had a couple of dody things in my bloods too ,apperently one of my blood markers was high ( not sure what it ment ) and they will have to keep and eye on this durring my pregnancy ( not that anything was written in my blooming book ) and my blood sugar was high too ( funny as id not eaten a dam thing ) so gonna ahve to watch for diabetes


epu just rung ( wow wasnt expecting that by 9 am ! ) and ive a scan at 2.30 today , im so releived ! i'll be even more so after the scan , i just wanna see bubba heart beating away . and some random reason for my bleeding .

Gem, sorry to hear that you have had a crap weekend. It's very odd though, I've had the same thing. After my bleed last week and scan on Friday, I thought everything was fine and enjoyed my weekend - until 8pm last night.

Went to the loo and there was a fair amount of bright RED blood. Just as you were, I was overcome with worry so OH called the EPU. They told me to put on a pad and call them back in an hour. After an hour there was barely anything on there so he called and told them and the blood had changed to a kind of dark brown again. I had a very slight pain on my right side. They've booked me for another scan tomorrow at 10.15am. I'm sat here all teary and worried too so I do know how you feel. There is still some brown discharge there this morning so I'm hoping it will either just fade off again or at least stay brown.

I just hope that if all was well on Friday morning, then it will be now.

OH seems to think it could be cervical erosion causing it so we're going to ask....

thanks girls , i know i wanted an early scan but i want to bed my consultant on the 17th , not like this


now , how do i keep my bladder full , when the scanned me for my tumour , i was in tears it hurt so much ! ive a rubbish bladder when not pregnant ! got a feeling they will end up doing an internal scan

Don't worry. An internal scan is better anyway as you see more. I had one and it was much clearer than the second one. Just drink as much as possible before you go. Start drinking around 1.00pm - slowly and all the way to the hospital. The drink will take about 20 mins to reach your bladder anyway.

and at 12 i lost my vomit virginity my god did i , for someone with a complete fear of being sick / people being sick , im quite impressed with how i coped , tbh did have much time to get in a tiss and once i was being sick i didnt stop

now im worried about driving to hossy , ya think i been sick and thats it for a while ?
