Saw consultant today

Saw a professor. He is not my usual doctor, but is in the same clinic. He supported my decision not to have an induction and feels I will go into spontaneous labour soon. Have an appointment for 2 weeks time incase he is wrong lol

Had a stretch and sweep. Have been contracting since yesterday. Sweep made them stronger. Some have been pretty harsh!

Cervix had not dilated further than then 2cm. But is now central and not posterior.....So at least it has done something. Docsays baby is 3/5 engaged. MW who done the sweep said she could feel the top of the babies head when she did it

So, though nothing exciting to report, am feeling optimistic

I hope the sweep does the job, it's probably got more chance of success as your body seems to wanna go in to labour itself!
