ahh sod it just try it! im sure these old wives tales are invented for a reason! i wonder if any new ones get created ? x

I know lavender is safe in pregnancy, I'm using it in baths and oil burner to help my hypnotherapy, not sure on sandalwood though x I'd double check with mw before doing anything tbh as there are certain oils that can not be used at all in pregnancy x

Oh I'm not putting it on me lol it's in the air like an air freshener xx

I know that. There's still oils that shouldn't be used at all.

Got through straight away! Weird lol they said there shouldn't e any reason not to have it burning but there isn't allot of research into some midwives wouldn't recommend it but she said it's allot of old wives tales and im only burning oil

Sounds like I got her on an off day!! Lol thank goodness I'm not planning on a home birth haha!! I'm gonna burn something else coz she sounded not bothered tbh and she said some midwives would say not to use it

Nar I'm having a bath instead my
Son was just sick on me  and I need a wash lol

Plus she sounded very sharp and everything about the whole oil thing so I think I'm just gonna leave it just incase as I know hypno birthing works for allot of people and she just sounded like she was saying it's all old wives tales so I have blown it out - shame it smelt lush!! Hehe! Ooh does anyone know if I can use bath frizzers while I'm pregnant?? My waters are still intact ext... Xxx

Aw boo for the grumpy mw! Lol! Must just be an off day!

Must be I'm sure they are not normally open on a weekend (I've tried before lol) so she had prob been called in and in a mood lol!!!

He he! I'm lucky I've not had a grumpy mw yet (touch wood) but they'll be asked to stay in the kitchen until I need them anyway so if they're grumpy they can be grumpy in there! Lmao! x

Lavander wont do anything but relax you, which may in turn get things going. only thing i know to work is clary sage oil as a massage oil.... good luck

I haven't got either if those :( bugger n bumfluff!! Could really do with being relaxed still on edge xx

Lavenders great for relaxing! That's what I've been using it for! It's a trigger smell to relax me in labour (that's what I meant when I said I'm using it to help the hypnotherapy)

It's not too expensive either. I've heard clary sage starts labour too!

Where can you get clarey sage oil?

Health food shops that sell oils should have it x
