Safe to have ears pierced when ur pregnant?

I have my ears pierced already but want another 2 holes .....is this safe to have done? Is there a risk of infection?? My friend has informed me that it is dangerous... but im unsure.... does anyone know?

i think they advise waiting till after pregnancy because of septicemia risks.

When I had mine done last April I had to sign a consent form to say I wasn't pregnant.... however I was but didn't know it, oops I think it ios because of risk of infection and healing.

I would wait, they dont let you give blood in a donor bank if you have had piercings so Im thinking it must be similar for being pg.

Get some pat butcher clips ons, sexy or what

Hi Jo,

One of the reasons why it's generally not advised to get new piercings whilst you're pregnant is because of the process involved the healing of a new piercing. It's a wound at the end of the day, and your white blood cells will rush in to assist the newly troubled area (ie, your new piercing) ... when really you should be trying to eliminate unnecessary disruption to your body as much as possible during your pregnancy. Hope this helps

i had mine done about 2 months ago but i didnt know i was pg thenopps, i had a tatoo done too, oh i feel guilty now

Nopes nobody will pierce you while pregnant

I'm getting withdrawel symptoms i'm normally getting pierced all the time!

I don't remember when i had my last one done (sternum..inbetween my erm clevage lol ) but I think I will have been in the early stages of pregnancy.. but didn't know it oops! feel bad now!
