Hey ladies!

need some advice for an opk virgin, just started my opk's tonight, got a batch of 30 from ebay. On the one i used the control line is quite a pale pink not the dark i was expecting.

What does this mean? it is negative as there is no second line, just worried that they are all going to be like that and it will be harder to tell when its positive?

What do you opk experts think? is it just a rubbish batch?

I've always used the green strip ones from eBay and the control lines have always been quite dark so maybe the one you used wasn't quite right - might not be all of them though. If your urine sample was very weak it could also give you a faint line. They are considered positive when you get a test line as dark as or darker than the control so as long as you can see the control clearly enough you should be ok x

It might sound obvious, but did you use as directed?

You can't pee onto those cheapo sticks, you have to pee in a cup and dip below the max line for however many seconds.

I'm just saying because sometimes i pee right on them - my hubbby was sick of cups of pee sitting around the house  - and it did seem to make the dye more pale as i probably washed some away.

If you used as directed, i'd be tempted to do another right away and see if it's any better.

I use cheapo ebay hpts and they have a dark control line.

Yep i use the cheap ebay hpt's too so used these opk's in the exact same way! i am going to do another today anyways, not worried about missing ov yet anyway.

I will not be impressed if they are all like this, my pee wasnt weak either as i did it at 4pm and didnt drink anything for 2 hours before blah blah blah. Oh well fingers crossed todays will be better!

Thanks ladies!

Grr! done another today and they all have this really faint line! not sure what to do now.

Hmm... you have two choices really.

Stick with them and you never know, it might surprise you how easy it is to spot your surge OR go out and buy some others.

I think i'd stick with them :)
