Wow I cant believe me and OH have just had our first barney since I found out I was pregnant... not sure whether I was being mean or not :S

He's in the RAF basically and we're currently based in Northern Ireland and because our baby will be born around early Nov my family in England kindly said they'd come to us for Xmas. I've just realised that our house will be completely cramped and probs just stress us out so I said to OH maybe it'd be easier just to go there for Xmas. He replied saying I'll try and get it off work in a very half-bothered way.... and I was like WHAT?! Your baby's first xmas and you'll TRY and get it off work???? I didn't even know he might have to work over xmas... I understand that if he is on duty that week or whatever he will have to stay on camp I get that but it was his can't-be-arsed attitude and all I said was doesn't sound like you're that bothered (i didnt shout or swear) and he's all like how the f**k can you say that blah blah blah and storms out.... argh!!!!

Was I being a bit harsh?? :(

Some army bases have family homes that guests can stay in - Could you ask about this option?

Hormones will make things sound and appear much worse I'm guessing it's not that easy for him just to book it off though.

Like above has said, hormones will make everything ten times worse, when I was pregnant (sadly I miscarried) everything OH did I'd get angry as hell and cry and stress myself out, you'll probably look back and think okay.... he was being a dick, but I definitely over reacted a little bit.

xx

I know how you feel hun, my OH is in the RAF and we had been talking ages ago about what was happening at xmas (its our 1st xmas too). Then the other day he was saying he might have to work on xmas which would mean we would have to stay at home as all our family are well over an hour away.

We hadn't even arranged anything yet, but its the fact that our options may be limitied now, which is so annoying. I don't know how I'll feel when baby comes along. I might want to stop at home but on the other hand, I might want to be with my family (which are actually over in Nothern Ireland) I like to keep my options open.....

He worked new year last year, but they're really shorted staffed and all his other staff will probably want it off too :wall2:

How long have you been over in NI?
