:rotfl: what's a routine?? :rotfl:

I can't wait for the day when Stanley might notice an hour's difference!
He slept all evening then was playing on his baby gym at 3.30am!

The clocks change at the end of the month. At the moment I make sure Ellie stays awake after 6pm. Go up and start the night time routine at 7:10, with some nappy off time, followed by a bath, then dress her for bed, feed her and put her down. She is normally down at around 8pm. She then sleeps until I wake her at 11:30, I change her nappy and feed her then. Put her back down and then she will sleep until I wake her at 7:30 - though she does sometimes wake a bit earlier on her own.

I don't know whether to wake her at midnight (30mins later) for that feed and then hope she will sleep an extra 30mins on the morning. Whether to try and gain 30mins Friday night (by pushing those 2 forward 15mins each time) and then another 15mins each time overnight Saturday night?

Any body with any experience of this, can they give me their opinion or experience?

i think i did the second thing you said tried to change it a little bit the day before then make up the rest over the next day or two - to be honest it kind of just happened without too much effort. i stressed about it but we were back on track within a wekk easily.

good luck!

I'm dreading it. Aimee gets me up early enough already. She was to young to notice the last one but i think this one will mess her up. Gonna try and do it gradually.

I'm just going to put him to bed the same time as he goes now & hope for the best!

Erm..... Forward I think. Coz it gets darker quicker now, and all of a sudden we shall be plunged into darkness :? Thank god I'm not housebound this year!

I'm trying to get Damien into a routine ish sort of thing, but I think I'll try a bit harder after the clocks change :)

:? so does that mean if he gets up at 7 he will not get up at 8??? :D

they go BACK an hour in the Autumn, use the American rhyme 'Spring Forward, Fall Back' to remember it..

The reason we get plunged into darkness is that if it normally gets dark at 6pm, and the clocks go back an hour, then what was 6pm before is now called 5pm.

On the plus side if our babies don't notice we might all get an extra hour in bed.....or am I just incredibly optimistic...!

I am dreading this too!

We have a nice steady routine going on and I dont want to rock the boat!...........looks like I will have to be prepared to be up at 5am on the 'new' time

OMG I have just realised that it happens this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

We will have to let each other know how it went :|

Im dreading it aswell :|

Just when I get Nathan into a nice routine the clocks go back an hour to mess it all up again :|

It wasn't too bad. I put Ellie to bed 30mins late on saturday night. Unfortunately this meant she fell asleep feeding so when I put her down 10mins later she woke wanting more food. However she went down after giving her some more without a problem. I gave her her dreamfeed 15mins later (ie 4hrs 15mins after her last day feed) and we managed to get to 7:10 before she was desperate so we had to start the day early. I put her to bed at the normal time but we had the same problem as the previous night as again it was a longer day because it started early but she slept through to 7:30 without a problem this morning. So hopefully we should be on the new time OK. I am going to give her a few days to settle down and then I am going to start looking at not giving her her dreamfeed.
