Hey all, I received my results from my bloods at my dating scan and am deemed low risk however it says at the end of the letter 1:150? That doesn't seem very low to me and I'm sure friends/relatives were much higher than that. I've included pictures of the background risk and adjusted risk as I don't understand what these are? Any help would be great! Xx

That's right hun! You are low risk as even though the number is higher (1077) the risk is actually lower than that of 1:150 x

Thanks Hun so even though at the end of the letter it says 1:150 is that just stating that anything over 1:150 is low risk?x

Yes that's right because your risk is 1 in 1077 chance that is less than 1 in 150 :) so basically the letter is just stating that thier market for 'low tusk' is anything that falls below 1:150!! Hope that helps xx

My scan results say the same, I think what it means is that you are low risk as your risk factor is much better than 1:150!

My risk was something like 1:14000

xxxxxxxx

When my letter arrived from the hospital they had highlighted the adjusted risk, so I thought it was that one?!

Oh yeah sorry my bad :) that's even better then :) x

Hey bec yea nothing was highlighted on my letter so I was a bit confused by all these numbers, thanks for your help after reading up on it I think you do go by the adjusted risk as the background risk is only based on your age and things where as the adjusted risk is your bloods and scan combined x
