Removing the padded bit from the car seat????

Evie really hated sitting in her car seat... as soon as I put her in she screamed. She always looked squashed in it so today I removed that padded bit with the head support and put her back in and she totally loved it!

The thing is I'm not sure if it's ok to take the padded thing out yet. She has good control of her head and she seemed to fit in the car seat better with the thingy out... when did you remove the padded bit???
(btw - it's a maxi cosi cabriofix)

i removed the padded bit at the beginning
she just looked so scrunched up and uncomfy, but when i removed it she looked lovely and cosy.
i worried about the head thing but there isnt that much room between her head and the side of the seat.... so with her pram suit on it just gives that extra padding anyway

i had to put an extra bit into the m&p chair cos he was so tiny , now his grown ive removed it as i got screaming fits when he went into the seat ! he still moans abit , hope it will improve when he grows some more !

I took mine out wuite early as my baby got really pissed off with it.Shes happy as larry now.
