One of my 'friends' (loosely termed) is like this and does everything with her LO before everyone else! She had her LO in forward facing at 6 months and would not be told! She was far too small it in and it scared the life out of me! Go with your instinct....mummy knows best xxx

Just to echo what everyone else has said you are doing the right thing! My LO is almost 17 months and still in her infant carrier as she is less that 20lb.
